Besides being a musician, TV presenter, writer and entrepreneur, Tyrone Smith is also a civil rights activist. As such, he has a lot to show for his illustrious accomplishments. He is the man behind T's Groove Inc., a record label and publishing company. He has also worked with a few of the big names in music, including Joss Stone and Erykah Badu.
Aside from slinging cocktails, Tyrone Smith has been known to dabble in other fields, such as journalism, media, and the world of sports. He started out at Grampian Television, where he eventually moved on to become the star of the show on North Tonight, a cult hit that has since been renamed to the Six, and is still going strong.
While in Aberdeen, Scotland, Smith was exposed to the world of news reporting and reporting on the local sports scene. It is not surprising that he is now a big time broadcaster, even going so far as to take on the mantle of Sports Editor on STV News at Six, a role he still holds today. Despite his professional responsibilities, Smith is a fun and engaging guy who enjoys a good drink. One of his more interesting hobbies is scouring the web for the best deals on golf equipment and apparel. As a side note, he is also a big fan of rugby. As a result, he is often seen sporting a rugby shirt or two.
As a testament to his stewardship, Smith was crowned the granddaddy of all sports reporters, by the esteemed judges at the British Sports Awards, in 2011. He has a long list of trophies to his name, but he remains a hardworking journalist at heart. As such, he is a prime example of the Tyrone Smith producer old adage, "You can't judge a book by its cover". As a burgeoning talent, Smith is no stranger to the music industry, as he is currently recording his own tracks under his moniker.
